University of Wisconsin Homecoming
Our first event when we arrived in Wisconsin was to go up to Madison for Homecoming. My friend Rob who owns several tatoo shops in Madison got tickets for Mattie and I for the game. Since Rob gives tatoo's to all the football players we had seats right behind the players bench along with the players families. The morning was really cold but it got nicer as the game went on and we had a blast. Wisconsin kicked Minnesota's butt as well! Mattie spent the whole game trying to track down Bucky Badger! A big Thank you goes out to Rob and his girlfriend Trish for taking us to the game! Here are a few photos:
After the game was over Mattie and i went down to the front row in the hopes to see Bucky Badger. Bucky never came by but Mattie and I did sing along with the Band as they played their tradition "5th Quarter" music. During one of the fight songs a camera man came right up to us and flimed Mattie and I for at least a minute. I found out later that we were on the huge "jumbo-tron" screen singing! So funny!
After this we went with the players families to the practice facility to meet the players. We had several players sign Mattie's "Hello Bucky" book, Including P.J. Hill, the star running back:
That night my sister Beth (Auntie Beth) watched Mattie so I could go to myold faternaty, Theta Delta Chi, for a party. I got to see a lot of old friends and it was just like old times. The highlight was seeing my friend Kurt "Loder" Hoffman who recently have a stroke of sorts and major brain surgery, He looked great but will be battleing speach, vision and memory problems for quite some time:
