Driving from Denver to Omaha and Wisconsin with Grandma and Grandpa Carmody

Grandma and Grandpa Carmody flew out to Colorado one-way in October and I drove back to Wisconsin with a stop in Omaha with them and Mattie. Mattie and I would be gone from Mackenzie and Kim for almost 2 weeks so we had a big send off before we left. Mattie received a new Dora the Explorer backpack to carry her books, snacks etc. We were all very excited about our long trip but sad to be away from home for so long. We stoped for the night in Omaha on our way to Wisconsin. We had a real nice visit with Stacy, Mike, Mimi (Claudia), Pop-pop (Michael) and cousin Charlotte. Stacy and Mike made a wonderful dinner for all of us and it was nice for my parents to visit with Kim's family for the night as Mattie and Charlotte played with each other:

After a night in Omaha we drove east toward Wisconsin. We timed it so we could stop for lunch in Davenport, Iowa. There we met My mom's 1st cousin Fern Rasmussen, her husband Bob and their daughter Suzie and biyfriend Gary. Suzie and I have been working on family tree history for the past year so it was great to see them all again. Mattie had fun playing on the tractors and wagons out in front of the resturaunt:
