Our friends in Raleigh and an early visit with Santa!

We took a drive up from Sunset Beach to Raleigh to spend the evening and night with our friends Maribeth and Ted Yoder and their two boys, Spencer and Evan. The Yoders moved to Raleigh a few years ago from Colorado. Maribeth, Kim and I all worked together for years at MediaMarketing in Boulder. Mattie, Mackenzie and the boys had a blast playing with each other.

A funny thing to notice in this pictures is the PJ's Mattie is wearing. Kim forgot to pack PJ's for Mattie for the trip up from Sunset Beach and had to borrow a pair from Evan. She ended up wearing the bottoms and Evan wore the tops to a set. It was pretty funny later when we realized it!

We had some time to kill the next day in Raleigh before we had to pick up Kim's sister and family who were flying in from Omaha. We went to the mall:


Even though it was a day before Thanksgiving we had the chance to see Santa at the mall. Mackenzie's first visit with Santa went very well. Mattie asked Santa for an igloo! I don't think she has the whole concept of asking Santa for toys yet! The photo was super cute and we put it on our Christmas Cards:
