Some of you may have heard that Kim and I were interviewed for a book written about the changing roles of men in child raising. Several couples were interview all with different child raising roles. Our unique spin on things were that I took 3 months off when both the kids were born. It was a very interesting non-scientific study. Thanksgiving and Early Christmas in Omaha

We drove to Omaha for Thanksgiving and to celebrate an early Christmas with Kim's family.


We had Thanksgiving dinner at Kim's sister's house. Here's Uncle Mikey and Kenzie:

Before we left Omaha we visited with our friends Sarah and Scotty. Sarah was our Maid of Honor and Mattie's "Godmother". Campbell (Bella) and Mattie are great playmates:

Late Fall in Colorado

Back in Denver after our long Florida trip, the kids enjoyed the beautiful Colorado Fall weather in our backyard:

Mattie and I made this Rainbow Jello for a pre-Thanksgiving party. Mattie was sooo excited to make this with me. Can you tell?

2 days in SeaWorld

We went to SeaWorld for 2 days and had so much fun.

Shamu and friend (is that a beaver, seal?) greeted us at the door:

We headed straight to the dolphin feeding. Here's Mattie's hand petting the first dolphin:

Next up was the dolphin show:

We then went to the kiddie ride area. They had a Shamu kiddie roller coaster. Kim and Mattie rode it while I stayed with Kenzie.

The coaster is mostly tame but is goes fairly fast. Mattie was holding on for dear life, the poor thing. Here is the photo that the park took after you get off the coaster:

Then they went on the teacups which Kim loves way more then most kids. Don't ride with her if you just ate your lunch!

I got to ride the carousel with Mattie:

We sat down pretty low to see the Shamu show and Mattie wanted to get even closer. We got drenched with ice cold salt water! After that we moved back to our higher seats.
