Halloween

As if we didn't get wet enough the night before at Disney World, we spent the day of Halloween at the pool at the hotel:

We got "Little Mermaid" goggles and fins for MM but Mattie wanted me to wear the goggle mask more!:

Halloween night we went to Downtown Disney. We had to have another excuse to wear the costumes again:

Halloween in DisneyWorld

We made it to Disney World on October 30th. We all were soo excited to be there during Halloween and experience "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party". All 4 of us dressed up and went to the part at 4:00 PM. With some insider info we knew we could get in early before the party "officially" started at 7:00. The weather didn't look good with Hurricane/Tropical Storm Noel off the coast sending in bands of heavy rain but we had no choice to go when we did. We bought the tickets weeks in advance so we just had to wing it the best way we could. It was cloudy and windy when we arrived but no rain! The family all dressed up as a King, Queen, Snow White and Tinker Bell.

Disney does everything sooo well and Halloween was no exception. The entire park was decorated for Halloween:

Well, there must have been an Ark somewhere in Disney but I didn't see it when the sky's opened up and the rain came down like you have never seen it! We got drenched! Apparently, Disney takes this in stride and nothing was stopped because of it. The fireworks show, rides and parade went on despite all the rain. Fortunately this is Florida so the rain was not cold, just wet:




We stayed right through till the parade was over. Even though it rained it didn't really stop us from having a great time. With most of the rides indoors we had plenty of things to do when the "rain, rain, rain came down, down down".

More fun in Ft. Myers

After the wedding we had a few more days to play and enjoy Ft. Myers Beach.

We walked down the beach in the morning to visit the apartment that Kim's dad rented for the week:

Our last night together in the apartment in Ft. Myers. The Murphy's went back to Omaha as we packed up to go up to Orlando for several days:
